Welcome to my volunteer website! My name is Brooke Garcia. I am a senior at Hereford High and I am creating this website for my Girl Scouts Gold Award. The reason I wanted to create a volunteer website is because I’m passionate about volunteering. I believe it is one of the most helpful ways an average person can make an impact on people in need. 

 

Hands4hereford is designed to make it easy for volunteers to find and participate in a variety of volunteer organizations. This website highlights non-profit organizations, charities, and community groups and offers a diverse range of opportunities, from one-time events to ongoing commitments. This website also provides resources and tools to help volunteers connect with organizations and help better their community. I started this website because I saw a need for a centralized platform to make it easier for people to find and participate in volunteer opportunities. I believe that volunteering is a powerful way to make a difference in the world, but I also know that finding the right opportunity can be overwhelming and time-consuming. I wanted to create a space for volunteers to easily search for opportunities based on their interests, availability, and location. Many organizations struggle to find enough volunteers to support their programs and I wanted to help bridge that gap. By offering a platform that makes it easier for volunteers to find and connect with organizations, I hope to help increase the impact of these groups and the causes they support. I believe that everyone has something to contribute, and I hope that my website will inspire more people to get involved and make a positive impact in the world.
